National Library week

“Reading Maketh a man perfect”, a good old saying came true, at Ganga International School and PU College, during the inauguration of “National Library Week” at Gnana Ganga. Students took part in several competitions organized by the Library committee such as colouring, storywriting, spell bee, G.K. Quiz competitions.

Every book its reader also happened, as, Scholastic Publication set up a book exhibition and sale, throughout the week to join hands with the celebration.

Director and Principal, sri. Parthasarathi Krishna Iyer, in his key note address, highlighted the importance of the books to get the useful knowledge, rather than depending on the electronic media for the mere information. He also applauded the efforts of Miss. Kala. D., Senior librarian of the institution, for organizing the library events more lively and maximum involvement by the user section.

Hon. Secretary Sri. Lakshminarasimha and Academic coordinators Mrs. Tanveer Fathima and Mrs. Padmavathi showered their blessings on students and encouraged them to have the pleasure reading than the compulsory reading.

School reporters Bharathi and Aleena of IX std. were the centre of attraction as the special invitees for the inaugural function
